About Mindhive Global: verified hide data for leather manufacturing

Founded in 2011 in New Zealand, Mindhive Global began as an R&D consultancy exploring how machine vision could solve industrial quality challenges. We found our focus in leather, an industry where grading had remained subjective for generations and where the cost of inconsistency was compounding quietly across the value chain.

Since 2014, we have been building AI-powered grading systems for wet-blue leather, training neural networks on what is now one of the industry's largest collections of hide data. Today, our systems grade over 40,000 hides per day across multiple countries. We have expanded from wet-blue into splitting, finished leather inspection, order fulfillment, and cloud-based quality intelligence. In 2024, we closed a Series A funding round to accelerate our growth and product development.
